Common Project Mistakes
There are several mistakes that businesses make when working on a technology initiative:
1) Not clearly understanding who they are (niche & differentiation).
2) Not looking at the competition.
3) Vague project concept & unclear goals and or requirements.
4) Poor staff (stakeholder) participation in the project or initiative.
5) Chosing the wrong technology provider, such as hiring one young enthusiastic programmer.
6) Choosing the wrong language or platform. Automatically settling on open source may be a trap for some organizations and or projects.
7) Being unrealistic about timelines and the process that is involved with future feature additions as the business changes.
